CBD isolates are a commonly found CBD product in the market. A lot of people choose this product for the huge potency it has. CBD isolate has a high concentration of CBD, hence, it can effectively provide all the health benefits associated with CBD. This product can be suitable for you if you are looking for a pure and high potency CBD product.

What Are CBD Isolates?

CBD isolates are a white crystalline powder that contains almost 99% of CBD. They are the purest form of CBD that does not contain any other compounds. CBD oil derived from the hemp plant will have different compounds including all the cannabinoids (such as THC, CBG, CBC, CBN, etc.), terpenes, lipids, chlorophyll, plant waxes, etc. All these compounds are removed from the CBD oil for producing CBD isolates. One of the important benefits of CBD isolates is that they do not contain THC, which is the psychoactive compound that is responsible for creating the intoxicating effects.

Making Of CBD Isolates

Like all other CBD products, the primary step involved in the production of CBD isolate is extraction. Different types of extraction processes are used for deriving CBD extract from the hemp plant including CO2 extraction, solvent extraction, etc. This extract will be in the form of oil and it will go through different processes before it is converted into CBD isolates.

Winterization and decarboxylation are two processes that are used for removing different compounds from the CBD extract. The winterization process is used for removing lipids and plant waxes from the extract and the decarboxylation process will convert the CBDA to CBD through heating. Winterized CBD oil is then made to go through a triple pass fractional distillation process. This is done for removing the chlorophyll, terpenes, and other undesirable contaminants present in it. Fractional distillation will also separate the CBD from other minor cannabinoids.

The concentrated CBD extract thus formed will be then mixed in a non-polar solvent inside a reactor. This solution will be heated and cooled for making the CBD precipitate in the form of crystals. The CBD precipitate will then be washed making use of the same non-polar solvent inside the reactor. This step will purify CBD of any other contaminants that are still present in it. The final product will be then placed into a vacuum oven for almost 48 hours. This will purge the CBD isolates of all the solvents that were utilized during the isolation step. This will give pure isolates that contain almost 99% of CBD.

Using CBD Isolates

CBD isolates can be used in different ways. You can consume it orally or sublingually. You may also choose to mix it with your favorite foods and drinks. In addition to this, you can also choose to vape isolates for getting faster results. It can also be added to different edibles for making consumption easier. Therefore, choose the most convenient way for consuming isolates based on your likes.
